The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, the premier educational institution of North India, is known for its achievements in the fields of academics, sports as well as music.  In line with the objective of organising multifarious activities  throughout the year for enhancing the skills of its students, The Post Graduate Department of Music   organised a two-day musical workshop  in which Dr. Prem Sagar, HOD Music of HMV College Jalandhar participated as a special guest. In this workshop, Dr. Prem Sagar imparted training to the budding singers of Punjab and  informed them in detail about the various aspects of music. On this occasion, the Principal of the college Prof. Jasreen Kaur  welcomed the special guest with a bouquet of flowers and encouraged the students to take life lessons from the resource person and focus more on  Riyaz for achieving the dreams of their lives. The Head of the  department of Music Prof. Sukhdev Singh, Prof. Rupali, Prof. Prabhdeep Kaur, Prof. Gunveer Singh and Prof. Akaash Sharma were also present during the occasion.
