The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College students shine at SVEEP contests organized by District Election Officer

Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar performed well in Election related Contests under SVEEP organized by District Election Officer. These contests were organized to spread awareness of voting in upcoming by election of Kartarpur area. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur felicitated the winners and said youth’s participation in these contests is a positive sign for the democracy. If youth is aware, it can lead the nation to the development in all fields. College SVEEP Nodal officer Dr. Surinder Pal Mand said that youngsters are future leaders and these events prepare them for future responsibilities and challenges.  NSS Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that NSS volunteers of the college not only participated but also won many positions. He added that Balpreet Kaur won 1st position in Speech, Shivam bagged 1st position in Poetry Recitation, Amit got 2nd in Essay Writing, Randeep Kaur won 3rd in Slogan and Ekta Pandey got consolation prize in Speech contest held at HMV.
