The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Rahul Gandhi accompanied by senior Congress leadership visited Lyallpur Khalsa College during his Bharat Jodo Yatra and congratulated the institution for it's achievements in Sports. He was introduced to Hockey teams (both Men and Women). Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra briefly apprised about the achievements of our college. Vice President of Governing Council Shri Deepinder Singh Purewal also graced the occasion with his presence.

Silence for a minute was also observed to pay homage to late Chowdary Santokh Singh, Member Parliament.
