Lyallpur Khalsa College Students Visit Birdh Sewa Ashram

Students of Political Science Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar visited Birdh Sewa Ashram and Charitable Society Budiana. The purpose of this visit was inculcation of moral and ethical values among students. During this visit the students interacted with the inmates of the Ashram and tried to understand the problems faced by them. In his message the college Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that such extension activities contributed to all round development of students. He also reiterated the commitment of the college to social welfare. Lyallpur Khalsa College celebrates Green Diwali

Green Diwali was celebrated by Department of Physiotherapy of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. The main theme of the event was Green Diwali and Cooking without Fire. On this occasion, students of BPT Part I, II, III and IV participated and prepared various food items. On this occasion, Diwali lamps were very beautifully decorated with colors. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh attended the event as the chief guest. Head of the department Dr. Raju Sharma welcomed Principal Sir by giving a plant. Addressing the students, Principal sir emphasised that we all need to be aware of the environment. He appreciated the effort of the department as a great step in this direction. He said that the amount of pollution in the atmosphere is increasing and during festivals like Diwali, the pollution of firecrackers increases tremendously. Lyallpur Khalsa College Lifts Runner-up Trophy in Youth Festival

Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar continued its impressive run in the field of cultural activities by winning the first runners up trophy of C-Zone, Youth Festival Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar. The latest edition of the Youth festival was organized by Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar wherein different Colleges of the region affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University competed in various categories. The college participated in 35 events and won the first runners up trophy by scoring 100 points. Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President Governing Council congratulated Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh and his entire cultural team and winners on this achievement. The College Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh informed that the college won first prize in 06 events, second in 12 events, third in 07 events en route to claiming the podium finish. Inter-departmental Quiz Competition at Lyallpur Khalsa College

An inter-departmental quiz competition was organized by the Post-Graduate Punjabi Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College. More than 70 students participated in this competition which involved a written test as well. 12 students participated in four teams namely Sutlej, Beas, Ravi and Chenab. Speaking on the occasion, the principal of the college, Dr. Jaspal Singh, said that the  college was committed to all round development of its students and this activity was a part of this practice.  The guest of honour on this occasion was Mr. Ravi Pal, Assistant Director, Youth Services, Jalandhar. Dr. Surinder Pal Mand, head of the department  welcomed the principal and the special guest and acted as quiz master as well. NSS Unit Lyallpur Khalsa College concludes Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign

NSS unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar concluded the Swachhta Hi Sewa campaign under the directions of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports by organizing a skit & Elocution competition on the topic Swachhta Hi Sewa. S.I. Mr. Raghbir Singh was the chief guest. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh in his opening remarks welcomed the guests and stated that Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is creating a positive impact in society and youth by organizing events related to social issues. He emphasized that cleanliness should start from self and it should not be confined to the environment only. Cleanliness of thoughts is also very crucial to address other issues like safety of women. Valedictory function held to mark the culmination of the National Nutrition Month 2024.

Department of Zoology & Botany and Grievances Redressal Cell at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar held a valedictory function on 7 October 2024, to mark the culmination of the National Nutrition Month 2024 which was organised by the department. The highlight of the event was an expert talk by Dr. Surjit Singh Senior Medical Officer Civil Hospital Jalandhar on the topic “Nutrition for a healthy heart”. The speaker was welcomed by the Principal Dr Jaspal Singh along with Professor Jasreen Kaur, Professor Navdeep Kaur and Dr Gagandeep Kaur by presenting a momento.
