Two students of Lyallpur Khalsa College selected in the Indian Army

2 students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar have joined the Indian Army as Agniveer. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh while facilattaing them in his office said in a press release that both the students, Prince and Sayiam, are cadets of the NCC Army Wing of the college and are students of Diploma in Computer Science. Earlier, their written examination was held at Ludhiana for this recruitment. Their physical test was conducted in Jalandhar, in which both got 'A' grade. Indian Army has given appointment letter to them after they passed the medical test. He further said that NCC unit of the college affiliated to 2 Punjab NCC battalion and our students are also regularly participating in Republic Day and Independence Day celebrations at Delhi. Lyallpur Khalsa College Lifts Second Runner-up Trophy in Inter Zonal Youth Festival

  Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar continued its impressive run in the field of cultural activities by winning the second runners up trophy along with runner up trophies in Music, Folk and Literary events at Guru Nanak Dev University Inter-Zonal Youth Festival. The college won the second runners up trophy by scoring 73 points. Sardarni Balbir Kaur, President Governing Council congratulated Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh and his entire cultural team and winners on this achievement. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh informed that the college won first prize in 04 events, second in 08 events and third in 07 events en route to claiming the trophy. Around 650 students proudly wore academic gown in the Annual Convocation held at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, today. Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Professor IIT Ropar, conferred on degrees to these students who graduated their Masters Exams in sessions 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 in various academic streams. Delivering the convocation address, the Chief Guest urged the young scholars to work hard for the achievement of their respective goals. Bhangra of Lyallpur Khalsa College won first place in Inter Zonal Youth Festival

  The Bhangra of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar bagged the first position during the ongoing Inter Zonal Youth Festival at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. This Bhangra team of the college has secured the first place among 24 Bhangra teams. It may be mentioned here that this Bhangra team was also the winner in the Zonal and Inter-Zonal Youth Festival held in 2023. Now this team has qualified for Inter University Youth Festival. Educational tour organized by physics department of Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar continuously strives for the overall development of students. Accordingly, an educational tour was organized by the physics department of the college to Guru Gobind Singh Thermal Plant, Ropar and Sri Kiratpur Sahib. Students of B.Sc., M.Sc. Physics and M.Sc. Chemistry participated in this tour. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that such educational tours which increase the academic knowledge of the students also increase social and cultural interaction. Students of Political Science Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar visited Birdh Sewa Ashram and Charitable Society Budiana. The purpose of this visit was inculcation of moral and ethical values among students. During this visit the students interacted with the inmates of the Ashram and tried to understand the problems faced by them.
