The second day of the 75th Senior State Football Championship witness a close encounter

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known at the national and International level for the promotion of sports. Keeping this legacy forward, Lyallpur Khalsa College is hosting 75th Senior State Football Championship which is organized by District Football Association. Mr. Sarabjit Singh Samra, Managing Director, Capital Small Finance Bank was the chief guest during the first match of the second day. He was welcomed by Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, President S. Inderjit Singh, Dhyan Chand Awardee Mr. Sushil Kohli and S. Manmohan Singh DFA. The chief guest in his address opined that today's young generation must participate in sports for physical development. He appreciated efforts of D.F.A. and Lyallpur Khalsa College to bring state level championship in Jalandhar. Today's first match was played between the teams of Patiala and Amritsar, which was tied 1-1 at full time and this match was won by the team of Patiala with 4 goals against 3 through tie break. Senior State Football Championship began in Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar today organized by district Football Association Jalandhar the championship was inaugurated by Mr Perfect Singh the MLA Jalandhar Cantt and the former captain of Indian hockey team and S. Jaspal Singh Waraich , Joint Sectetary College Governing Council.  In the opening match of this Championship , the football team of  Nawanshahar defeated DFA Ropar by 3-1.  Karandeep of the winning team was declared the best player for scoring a hat trick in the match. In the second match the Jalandhar team defeated  the Barnala Team by 3-0 with the goals scored by Gaurav Yashpal and Madhur. The second match was presided over by Sardar Surjit Singh vetern footballer and ex SP Punjab Police. the College Principal Dr Jaspal Singh informed that the Championship would continue from 16 to 19 October and on 17th October, matches between Kapurthala and Sangrur and Amritsar and Patiala woukd be played. Physiotherapy Day celebrated in Lyallpur Khalsa College

On the occasion of Physiotherapy day  a guest lecture was organised on the theme Physiotherapy and Sports in Lyallpur Khalsa College. Delivering the lecture the chief speaker Dr Maman Pol from Department of Physiotherapy Guru Nanak Dev University said that Physiotherapy could play a key role in dealing with sports injuries and its importance was rapidly being recognised in the field of sports medicine. Expressing his thanks to the speaker, the College Principal Dr Jaspal Singh said that Physiotherapy could offer a lot of job opportunities to the students He said that many Orthopaedic problems could be managed easily with physiotherapy. On this occasion was organised T-shirt painting competition in which teams led by deepjyot Nishita and Gurpreet 1 first second and third positions respectively. Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar Hosts Special Skill Training on CV Writing, Cover Letters, and Career-Boosting Strategies for Students

With the objective to equip students with the most essential skills required for securing national and international jobs in today’s world, the Career Counselling and Placement Cell of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organized a Special Skill Training Session which witnessed the participation of more than 300 students of various streams in the college. The event featured expert guidance from three key members of the Career Counselling and Placement Cell - Dr. Charanjit Singh from the PG Department of English, Dr. Navdeep Kumar from the PG Department of Commerce and Management and Dr. Amritpal Singh from the PG Department of Physics. The PG department of Computer Science & IT at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar organized an annual event "Agaaz-e-Azal ".The event, aimed at fostering creativity and showcasing the talents of the students of Journalism and Mass Communication was marked by enthusiastic participation and a range of activities designed to highlight the diverse skills of the young journalists. Lyallpur Khalsa College student wins State Level Red Run Marathon

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar provides ample opportunities to its students in the field of academics, co-curricular and sports to excel at state, national and international level. Recently, Punjab State AIDS Control Society and Directorate of Youth Services, Govt. of Punjab organized a state level Red Run Marathon of 5 km at Ludhiana which was won by student of B.A.-V semester Shamsher Singh, a Red Ribbon club member of LKC. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh felicitated the winner and in his congratulatory message motivated him to do better at the next level. He further added that these mega events are very crucial to spread awareness about deadly viruses like HIV/AIDS. Prof. Satpal Singh, Coordinator of LKC RRC informed that Shamsher has won first position at district and state level and won cash prizes at both levels. Next, he will compete at national level. P.G. Department of Political Science of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar celebrated International Day on Democracy. On this occasion the department organized an inter department competition in which  19 students participated in Essay writing and 23 students in Poster making. Students gave their exemplary performance in this competition. It encouraged the youth to acknowledge their role as future creators, granting them the opportunity to voice their vision for the world that they want to build. The HOD of the department Dr Anu Moon offered special thanks to Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh for gracing the event with his esteemed presence and also for his discussion on the achievement of democracy. He suggested the students to make their life qualitative and worth-living. Dr. Karanbir Singh, Prof. Satpal Singh, Prof. Pooja Rana, Prof. Sonia, Prof. Kanika Sharma were the judges for the event.
