A special condolence meeting was held at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar regarding the demise of the country's former Prime Minister and an eminent economist Dr. Manmohan Singh. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh introduced the important aspects of Dr. Manmohan Singh's personality. He said that Dr. Manmohan Singh made an important contribution in building the current economic, political and diplomatic structure of the country. Especially, he implemented schemes like Right to Education, National Food Security Act and Manrega. He added that Dr. Manmohan Singh was the leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha in 2002 when he visited Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar and appreciated the college for its contribution in academic and other fields. Lyallpur Khalsa College Students win accolade in District Yuva Utsav

Lyallpur Khalsa College provides ample opportunities to its students to showcase their talents at different platforms. Recently, the students of the college participated in District Level Yuva Utsav organized by NYKS at NIT Jalandhar and won positions in 4 events. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the students and in his message said that college is committed for the overall development of its students. He added that these competitions instill confidence to be creative and expressive. He told students that these events are also the parameter to measure their strengths and weaknesses and take lessons to improve further. Physiotherapy Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized an interactive session. Dr. Jagbir Singh and Dr. Vandana Joshi, alumni of the college's Department of Physiotherapy, from Alberta, Canada participated as keynote speakers in the event. The principal of the college, Dr. Jaspal Singh, welcomed the guest speakers. Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that it is a blessing to meet the old and successful senior students from the department. He also said that today's students had a lot to learn from personal experience. He appreciated the Department of Physiotherapy for such a session. NSS unit Lyallpur Khalsa College observed World AIDS Day

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for its academic and social responsibilities in the region. Keeping this view NSS unit and Red Ribbon Club of Lyallpur Khalsa College organized Nukkad Natak to spread awareness regarding HIV AIDS in the college campus. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh in his message told that AIDS is killing people silently. He informed that prevention is the best way to escape this dangerous virus. He advised youngsters to beware of this virus, aware others also and not to discriminate with victims of HIV. Chief Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that a Nukkad Natak in collaboration with Sampuran Surakhsa Kendra Civil Hospital Jalandhar was played in the Campus to make youngsters aware of the reasons and consequences of HIV AIDS. Lyallpur Khalsa College lifts University Football Championship

Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar has won Guru Nanak Dev University Inter College Football Championship. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated college Dean Sports Dr. Rashpal Singh, Coach Sh. Dhanwant Singh & S. Tejinder Singh and players on this achievement. While giving information, he said that in this football league, a league of six colleges affiliated to the university was held. LKC got 13 points out of five matches and won the first place in the University Inter-College Football Championship. He further said that our players had worked very hard under the supervision of their coaches, due to which the college has won this championship.
