17th Barsi of Late Sardar Balbir Singh Commemorated at Lyallpur Khalsa College

 The students, staff and President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur, along with the members of the Management Committee today paid their obeisance at Sehaj Path held in the College Gurudwara today on the Barsi of Late Sardar Balbir Singh Ex-Member Parliament who remained the president of the College Governing Council for four decades. On this occasion, Kirtan as per Sikh traditions was recited by Bhai Bhupinder Singh, Rama Mandi wale. Recalling the unparalleled contribution of Late S. The occasion of 17th Barsi of S. Balbir Singh will be observed on 13 February 2025 at the Gurdwara Sahib of the college. On this occasion, Sehaj Path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib followed by recitation of Kirtan will be held. Giving this information, the college Principal Dr. Suman Chopra elaborated that S.  Dr. Jaspal Singh, Principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, a renowned educational institution of North India, retired from the post after providing his excellent services as Principal at Lyallpur Khalsa College. Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club LKC organized a Rally to spread awareness regarding HIV/AIDS. Principal Dr. Suman Chopra in her message stated that there is a lack of knowledge of HIV/AIDS in India among adults which needs to be increased through the mass events by involving youth. She advised the students to maintain a healthy lifestyle and engage in physical activities. Later, she flagged off the rally. Chief NSS Program Officer Prof. Prof. Satpal Singh said that this rally was organized under the directions of Youth Services, Govt. of Punjab.  He further informed that during this 4 km rally the volunteers raised slogans and showed posters. Road Safety Awareness Program organized at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is committed for its social welfare and continuously strives for the betterment of society. NSS unit Lyallpur Khalsa College in collaboration with District Traffic Police and NYKS organized 03 day Road Safety Awareness Program to make citizens aware about road safety. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh initiated as well as concluded the drive. He conveyed that it is the collective responsibility of all the citizens, traffic police and administration to minimize road accidents. He emphasised that lack of road safety awareness, use of alcohol and mobiles while driving are major causes of road accidents.
