PG Department of Computer Science & IT of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, Organized Photography Competition on World Photography Day

To commemorate World Photography Day, the PG Department of Computer Science and IT at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organized a vibrant Photography Competition in the Software Development Lab (SD Lab). The event provided students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and technical flair through the lens of a camera, while also promoting appreciation for photography as an art form and a tool for digital expression.The competition was held under two central themes: Nature and Architecture of the College Campus. Students of Journalism and Multimedia participated with great enthusiasm, capturing compelling images that highlighted the natural beauty and architectural elegance of the college grounds. The event served as a platform to blend artistic vision with digital skills, which are essential in today’s multimedia-driven world.Principal, Dr. Suman Chopra, was invited as the Chief Guest of the event and was accompanied by Registrar of college, Dr. Gagan deep Kaur. The faculty of the department extended their warm welcome towards the dignitaries.In her address,Principal of the college, lauded the department’s initiative and praised the participants for their keen eye for detail and creativity. She further stressed the importance of visual arts and photography in contemporary communication, especially in the age of digital story telling. Palak (BAJMC Sem 5th) secured the First Prize, Rajdeep (BDMM Sem 3rd)received the Second Prize, and Deepali (BDMM Sem1st )was awarded the Third Prize.The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Head of Department, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, who acknowledged the cooperation and constant support from the Governing Council and able guidance of the college Principal. He also applauded the contributions of the organizing team, teaching and non- teaching staff and participants.All the faculty members along with 80 students were present in the event. Around 40 students participated in the competition.The stage was conducted by Prof. Anjali Bhardwaj.

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਅਤੇ ਆਈ.ਟੀ. ਦੇ ਪੀਜੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਫ਼ੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਫ਼ੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫੀਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਮਰੇ ਦੇ ਲੈਂਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਰਚਨਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਬੀਮ ਕਾਲਜ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਦੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਕੀਟੈਕਚਰ ਤੇ ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਲਟੀਮੀਡੀਆ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਕੀਟੈਕਚਰਲ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਤਸਵੀਰਾਂ ਖਿੱਚੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਕਲਾਤਮਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਹੁਨਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਰਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ, ਡਾ. ਸੁਮਨ ਚੋਪੜਾ, ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਰਜਿਸਟਰਾਰ, ਡਾ. ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਨੇ ਪਤਵੰਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਨਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਜ਼ੂਅਲ ਆਰਟਸ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫੀ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ 'ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਫੋਟੋਗ੍ਰਾਫੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਇਕ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੀਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਬਕ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੱਜ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਧਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਲਕ (ਬੀਜੇਐਮਸੀ, ਸਮੈਸਟਰਪੰਜਵਾਂ) ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਰਾਜਦੀਪ (ਬੀਡੀਐਮਐਮ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਤੀਜਾ) ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਦੀਪਾਲੀ (ਬੀਡੀਐਮਐਮ, ਸਮੈਸਟਰਪਹਿਲਾ) ਨੂੰ ਤੀਜਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।ਇਹ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੰਜੀਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਆਨੰਦ, ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਮਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਟੀਮ, ਟੀਜ਼ਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਨ-ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ੪੦ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ। ਲਗਭਗ 40 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਮੰਚ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ.ਅੰਜਲੀ ਭਾਰਦਵਾਜ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
