Lyallpur Khalsa College Participated in Unity March

NSS Volunteers of Lyallpur Khalsa College Participated in Unity March organized by District Administration & My Bharat Office Jalandhar under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India. Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur appreciated the volunteers efforts and said that the contribution of Sardar Patel is immense in the unification of India post Independence. She informed that the Unity March programs organised all over India not only spread awareness about the patriot Sardar Patel but also motivate us to follow his steps.  She added that today the youngsters need to learn the lesson of unity and universal brotherhood from the life and actions of Sardar Patel. The march was flagged off by Member Parliament Rajya Sabha, Mr. Naresh Bansal. NSS Program Officer Satpal Singh informed that  the march progressed in a very peaceful manner and ended at the Municipal Corporation Office, Jalandhar. He added that the purpose of the march was to commemorate the endeavours of Sardar Patel and to show case his legacy to the world. This event was supervised by Program Officer Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Dr. Surbjit Singh and Prof. Navneet Kaur.

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਯੁਵਾ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡ ਮੰਤਰਾਲੇ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਫਤਰ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਏਕਤਾ ਮਾਰਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨਵਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਏਕੀਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਪਟੇਲ ਦਾ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੂਰੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਏਕਤਾ ਮਾਰਚ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭਗਤ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਪਟੇਲ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਫੈਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਬਲਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਦਮਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਪਟੇਲ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਏਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਵਿਆਪੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਸਬਕ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਪਾਰਲੀਮੈਂਟ ਰਾਜ ਸਭਾ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਨਰੇਸ਼ ਬਾਂਸਲ ਨੇ ਹਰੀ ਝੰਡੀ ਦਿਖਾ ਕੇ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫਸਰ ਸਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਾਰਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀਪੂਰਨ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਸ਼ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਲਗਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਨਿਗਮ ਦਫਤਰ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਮਾਪਤ ਹੋਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮਾਰਚ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਪਟੇਲ ਦੇ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣਾ ਸੀ । ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਡਾ. ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਡਾ. ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀ।
