Lyallpur Khalsa College Students Visit Punjab Vidhan Sabha

PG Department of Political Science of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar organized an educational tour of students to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. This information was given by the college Principal Dr. Suman Chopra who briefed that participating 53 students of the department were welcomed by Vidhan Sabha Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan and they got an opportunity to witness a live session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. She also informed that Mr. Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi MLA Banga described this visit of the students as commendable as it introduced students to the democratic setup of the Indian political system. The President of College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated the students on this achievement. On this occasion Head of the Department Dr. Anu Kumari informed that this educational tour proved quite informative to the students. The occasion was witnessed by teachers of the department Dr. Ajit Pal Singh, Prof. Sanjay Shad and Prof. Livpreet.

 ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਗਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਲਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਟੂਰ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮਨ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਦੌਰੇ 'ਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਟੂਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਬਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਟੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀ.ਏ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਐਮ.ਏ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਦੇ 53 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦਾ ਲਾਈਵ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਟੂਰ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਵਾਸਤਵਿਕ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਧਾਨ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਸਪੀਕਰ ਸ. ਕੁਲਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧਵਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਟੀਵੀ ਚੈਨਲਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਰਨ ਵੀ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਬੰਗੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਖੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਦੌਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾਯੋਗ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਅਨੂ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਵਿਦਿਅਕ ਟੂਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਲਾਹੇਵੰਦ ਸਿੱਧ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਇਸ ਟੂਰ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਹੋ ਸਕਣ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਡਾ. ਅਜੀਤ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੰਜੇ ਸ਼ਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਲਿਵਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
