P.G. Department of Political Science of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar celebrated International Day on Democracy

P.G. Department of Political Science of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar celebrated International Day on Democracy. On this occasion the department organized an inter department competition in which  19 students participated in Essay writing and 23 students in Poster making. Students gave their exemplary performance in this competition. It encouraged the youth to acknowledge their role as future creators, granting them the opportunity to voice their vision for the world that they want to build. The HOD of the department Dr Anu Moon offered special thanks to Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh for gracing the event with his esteemed presence and also for his discussion on the achievement of democracy. He suggested the students to make their life qualitative and worth-living. Dr. Karanbir Singh, Prof. Satpal Singh, Prof. Pooja Rana, Prof. Sonia, Prof. Kanika Sharma were the judges for the event. In Poster making Jasleen from B.A. 1st sem got 1st position, Kirandeep Kaur from B.A. 1st Sem got 2nd, Anisha from M.A. Political science 3rd sem got 3rd.  In Essay Writing Davinderjit Kaur from M.A. 1st sem got 1st position, Yogita from M.A 3rd Sem got 2nd, Jaspreet Kaur B.A 1st Sem got 3rd position. Dr. Anu Kumari Head Department of Political Science thanked the Principal and other faculty members, as well as the audience.  Prof. Prabh Dyal, Dr. Ajitpal Singh, Prof. Sanjay Shad were also present on this occasion.

 

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਬਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹੋਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ‘ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਣਾ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ 50 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਅਨੂ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਮੁਖੀ, ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਅਜੀਤ ਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਗੁਲਦਸਤੇ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਵੇਖੇ ਤੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੇਖ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ `ਚ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ਲਈ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ‘ਚ ਚੰਗੇ ਨੰਬਰ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਅਨੂ ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ 'ਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਜਸਲੀਨ (ਬੀ.ਏ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾ), ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸਿਮਰਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ (ਬੀ.ਏ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾ) ਤੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਨੀਸ਼ਾ (ਐਮ.ਏ. ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਦੂਜਾ) ਨੇ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦਕਿ ਲੇਖ ਲਿਖਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਵਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ (ਐਮ.ਏ. ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾ), ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਯੋਗੀਤਾ (ਐਮ.ਏ. ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਤੀਜਾ) ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ (ਬੀ.ਏ. ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਪਹਿਲਾ) ਨੇ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਡਾ. ਕਰਨਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡਾ. ਪੂਜਾ ਰਾਣਾ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੋਨੀਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਕਨਿਕਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਜੱਜ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਿਆਲ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੰਜੇ ਸ਼ਾਹਦ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
