The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. The Punjab Sports Department organized two-day selection trials at Lyallpur Khalsa College

 



Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, which has made a distinct identity in the field of sports, was the venue chosen by the Punjab Sports Department to organize football and handball trials for boys and girls for the session 2024-25. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Dean Sports Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, Selection Committee Members and Coaches introduced themselves to the football players. About 200 sportsmen and players from Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, DAV College Jalandhar, Mohan Lal Uppal DAV College Phagwara, Sikh National College Banga and Khalsa College Amritsar participated in these trials. In the football selection committee Mr. Pradeep Kumar, from Phagwara and Mr. Harjitpal from Mahalpur and in the handball selection committee Mr. Kulwinder Singh from Dosanjh Kalan and Mr. Jaswant Singh from Amritsar were the selectors from Punjab Sports Department. He said that the lists of selected players will be sent to the Punjab Sports Department and the final list of players will be issued by them. Diet, sports equipment and other facilities will be provided by the Punjab government to the players selected in the sports trials. The coaches of various institutions, Mr. Kuldeep Singh Deep, Mr. Manjit Singh, Mr. Daljit Singh, Prof. Sorav Kumar, Mr. Harinderjit Singh, Mr. Dhanwant Kumar, Mr. Varundeep and Mr. Amrit Lal Saini were also present On this occasion.

ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਬਣਾ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ 2024-25 ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਂਡਬਾਲ, ਲੜਕਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟ੍ਰਾਇਲ ਅਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਡੀਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਡਾ. ਰਛਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ, ਸਿਲੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਬਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਚ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਨੇ ਜਾਣ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਟਾਇਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ, ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ. ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ, ਮੋਹਨ ਲਾਲ ਉੱਪਲ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ. ਕਾਲਜ ਫਗਵਾੜਾ, ਸਿੱਖ ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਕਾਲਜ ਬੰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਲੱਗਭਗ 200 ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਿਡਾਰਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਸਿਲੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੀਪ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਫਗਵਾੜਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਜੀਤਪਾਲ ਮਹਿਲਪੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਂਡਬਾਲ ਸਿਲੈਕਸ਼ਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ. ਕੁਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੋਸਾਂਝ ਕਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ. ਜਸਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ‘ਪੰਜਾਬ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿਲੇਕਟਰ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਸਟਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੀਆ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੀ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਲਿਸਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਖੇਡ ਟਾਇਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਖੁਰਾਕ, ਖੇਡ ਸਮਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਚ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ, ਸ. ਕੁਲਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀਪ, ਸ. ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ. ਦਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸੋਰਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਸ. ਹਰਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਵਰੁਣਦੀਪ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਲਾਲ ਸੈਣੀ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਮੂਲੀਅਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
