The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji Celebrated in Lyallpur Khalsa College




The martyrdom day of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji was observed with reverence in Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar today where Bhog of the Sehaj Path in the college Gurudwara Sahib was held. In continuation with the tradition, 'Chabeel' was served to one and all. The occasion was duly participated in by President Governing Council, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh and the staff and students of the college. In her message the President of the college said that the teachings of Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji upheld values like sewa and sacrifice and were relevant in all times. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh reiterated the commitment of Lyallpur Khalsa College to the service of humanity and said that following the Sikh ideal of sewa, the college would continue to make substantial efforts to serve the society.

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਪੰਚਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਤਾਜ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਬੜੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਸਹਿਜ ਪਾਠ ਦੇ ਭੋਗ ਪਾਏ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਗੇਟ ਉਪਰ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਠੰਡੇ ਮਿੱਠੇ ਜਲ ਦੀ ਛਬੀਲ ਵਰਤਾਈ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਛੋਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੜਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦਿ ਦਾ ਲੰਗਰ ਵਰਤਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਲੋਂ ਪੰਚਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਭੇਂਟ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਰਦਾਰਨੀ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ, ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਨ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸਮੂਹ ਸਟਾਫ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਸਰਦਾਰਨੀ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਕਦਰਾਂ-ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਹਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਗਿਕ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਰਿਵਾਇਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਤ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਉਲੀਕਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭੱਵਿਖ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਉਲੀਕਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਨੀ ਬਲਬੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਗਵਰਨਿੰਗ ਕੌਂਸਲ, ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਹਿਬਨ, ਨਾਨ-ਟੀਚਿੰਗ ਸਟਾਫ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਭਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
