Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. A three-day sports trial was started at the college to select the players for the new session 2024-25



Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar is constantly on the move for the holistic development of students. The students here excel in academic field as well as in sports. A three-day sports trial was started at the college to select the players for the new session 2024-25. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh specially attended these sports trials. On this occasion, he welcomed the sports students to join the college, wished them well and encouraged them to appear in trials with full sports spirit and dedication. He told the students that as true sportspersons if they dedicate themselves to sports and perform for the college, the college will provide them every possible facility. He said that on the first, second and third day of the sports trials, there were trials of various sports in which about 450 sportsmen and students gave trials. He said that those selected in these trials will be provided opportunities to participate in inter-college, inter-varsity, national and international level sports. Mr. Manjinder Singh International Athlete, Mr. Dhanwant Kumar, Mr. Varundeep International Footballer, Mr. Tajinder Singh, Prof. Ajay Kumar, Prof. Manvir Singh, Mr. Jagdish Singh, Mr. Amrit Lal Saini and other staff members were also present on this occasion.
 

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਵਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਨਿਰੰਤਰ ਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਉੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਨਵੇਂ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ 2024-25 ਲਈ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਖੇ 3 ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਖੇਡ ਟਰਾਇਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਹੋਈ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੇਡ ਟਰਾਇਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ 'ਤੇ ਸੁਆਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰੀ ਖੇਡ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਟਰਾਇਲ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬਤੌਰ ਸੱਚੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਬਣਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਖੇਡ ਟਰਾਇਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ, ਦੂਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਟਰਾਇਲ ਹੋਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ 450 ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਟਰਾਇਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਟ੍ਰਾਇਲ ਵਿਚ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਤਰ-ਕਾਲਜ, ਅੰਤਰਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਨਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅੰਤਰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਅਥਲੀਟ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਧਨਵੰਤ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਵਰੁਣਦੀਪ ਅੰਤਰ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲਰ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਤਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਅਜੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ, ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮਨਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਗਦੀਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਲਾਲ ਸੈਣੀ, ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।
