 Orientation Programme for M.Sc and B.Sc 1st semester students was organised at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. All the students having opted for Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science and Economics subjects In B.Sc and students of M.Sc Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics attended this programme. The Principal of the college Prof Navdeep Kaur graced the occasion as Chief Guest. All Heads of Science departments presented floral welcome to the principal. The Principal in her address told new students about college traditions and achievements in the fields of academics, sports, culture and music. She said that the students should make the most of their time in the college for it would be instrumental in shaping their future life and career. She assured the students about the best possible learning environment and guidance from faculty. Dr Geetanjli Kaushal, Department of Chemistry conducted the orientation session in which new students were made aware about department profiles, infrastructure and laboratory facilities. There was introductory round by all first year students. All present were enthralled by dances, songs, poems and musical performances presented by freshers as well as senior students. Token of appreciation was presented to all the participants. The stage was very well managed by Aastha of M.Sc Physics 3rd Semester and formal vote of thanks was presented by Ritik of M.Sc Chemistry 1st Semester. Dr. Gagandeep Kaur, Head Department of Zoology and Botany, Dr Harjit Singh, Head Department of Mathematics, Dr. Simranjeet Singh Bains Head Department of Economics, Dr Rajnish Moudgil, Head Department of Chemistry, Dr. Narveer Singh, Head Department of Physics and all faculty members of these departments were present on this occasion and wished successful and bright future for all students.

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਓਰੀਐਂਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਬੀ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਵਿੱਚ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਜੀਵ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਗਣਿਤ, ਰਸਾਇਣ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਕੰਪਿਊਟਰ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਥ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ, ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ, ਗਣਿਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਨਵਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਦਾ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੁਲਦਸਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਰੰਪਰਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ, ਖੇਡਾਂ, ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲਾਭ ਉਠਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਕਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਏਗਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧੀਆ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਅਤੇ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡਾ. ਗੀਤਾਂਜਲੀ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਨੇ ਓਰੀਐਂਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਫਾਈਲਾਂ, ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਯੋਗਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜਾਣ-ਪਛਾਣ ਦੌਰ ਸੀ। ਸਾਰੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀਨ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਨਾਚ, ਗੀਤ, ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗੀਤਕ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੋਏ। ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਸਾ ਪੱਤਰ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਸਟੇਜ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ. ਫਿਜ਼ਿਕਸ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਦੀ ਆਸਥਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਦੇ ਰਿਤਿਕ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਸਮੀ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਮਤਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਡਾ. ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ, ਮੁਖੀ ਜੂਆਲੋਜੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਡਾ. ਹਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮੁਖੀ ਗਇਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਡਾ. ਸਿਮਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ, ਮੁਖੀ ਅਰਥ ਸ਼ਾਸ਼ਤਰ, ਡਾ. ਰਜਨੀਸ਼ ਮੈਡਲ, ਮੁਖੀ ਕੈਮਿਸਟਰੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਡਾ. ਨਰਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਮੁਖੀ ਭੌਤਿਕ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਭਾਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਫੈਕਲਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
