Students of Physiotherapy Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College were given a visit to Deep Neta Ji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Patiala as part of Academic Extension Activity.

Physiotherapy Department of Lyallpur Khalsa College visited the Neta Ji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala as part of the academic extension activity. Principal of the college Dr. Suman Chopra while sending off the students said that it is important for physiotherapy students to have knowledge of Biomechanics because physiotherapists are an integral part of the Sports Rehabilitation. Under the guidance of Head of Department Dr. Raju Sharma and teachers Dr. Vaishali Mohindru, Dr. Anjali Oja, High Performance Cell, Department of Biomechanics, NIS students learned about advanced Biomechanics Instruments. Dr. Rahul Tripathi, Scientist of the center shared detailed information about the types of Biomechanics Instrument, Gait Analysis, Posture Assessment to the students. Later, the students also visited Gurudwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib.

ਲਾਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਫਿਜੀਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਕੈਡਮਿਕ ਐਕਸਟੈਂਸ਼ਨ ਐਕਟੀਵਿਟੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਫਿਜੀਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਭਾਗ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ, ‘ਨੇਤਾ ਜੀ ਸੁਭਾਸ਼ ਨੇਸ਼ਨਲ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ ਆਫ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ' ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਸੁਮਨ ਚੋਪੜਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਵਾਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਫਿਜੀਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਇਓਮਕੈਨਿਕਸ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਫਿਜੀਓਥਰੈਪਿਸਟ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਰੀਹੈਬੀਲੀਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਅਭਿੰਨ ਅੰਗ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਰਾਜੂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਡਾ. ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਮਹਿੰਦਰੂ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਅੰਜਲੀ ਓਝਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਇਓਮਕੈਨਿਕਸ ਇੰਸਟਰੂਮੈਂਟਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਸੈਂਟਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਇੰਟੀਸਟ ਡਾ. ਰਾਹੁਲ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਾਠੀ, ਹਾਈ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੋਰਮੈਂਸ ਸੈੱਲ, ਬਾਇਓਮਕੈਨਿਕਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਐਨ.ਆਈ.ਐਸ. ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਇਓਮਕੈਨਿਕਸ, ਗੇਟ ਅਨਾਲਾਇਸ, ਪੋਸਚਰ ਅਸੈਸਮੈਂਟ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਸ਼ੀਰਵਾਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
