Physiotherapy Day celebrated in Lyallpur Khalsa College

On the occasion of Physiotherapy day  a guest lecture was organised on the theme Physiotherapy and Sports in Lyallpur Khalsa College. Delivering the lecture the chief speaker Dr Maman Pol from Department of Physiotherapy Guru Nanak Dev University said that Physiotherapy could play a key role in dealing with sports injuries and its importance was rapidly being recognised in the field of sports medicine. Expressing his thanks to the speaker, the College Principal Dr Jaspal Singh said that Physiotherapy could offer a lot of job opportunities to the students He said that many Orthopaedic problems could be managed easily with physiotherapy. On this occasion was organised T-shirt painting competition in which teams led by deepjyot Nishita and Gurpreet 1 first second and third positions respectively. The occasion was witnessed by the senior teachers of the college and of the department.

ਲਇਲਪੁਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਫਿਜਿਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਜੀਕਲ ਐਜੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ਵਰਲਡ ‘ਫਿਜਿਓਥੈਰਪੀ ਡੇ' ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ‘ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਜਿਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ' ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਉਪਰ ਇੱਕ ਗੈਸਟ ਲੈਕਚਰ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਡਾ. ਮੰਮਨ ਪੌਲ, ਫਿਜਿਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਬਤੌਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਕਤਾ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ। ਡਾ. ਮੰਨਨ ਘੌਲ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵਾਰਮਿੰਗ ਅੱਪ ਐਂਡ ਕੂਲਿੰਗ ਡਾਊਨ ਐਕਸਰਸਾਈਜ, ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਇੰਜਰੀ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਵੈਂਸ਼ਨ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਪਯੋਗੀ ਹਨ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਰਮਿੰਗ ਅੱਪ ਦੇ ਸਹੀ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਵਰਲਡ ਫਿਜਿਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਦਿਵਸ-2024 ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਾ ‘ਲੋ ਬੈਂਕ ਪੋਨ` ਇਸਦਾ ਬਚਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਟੀ-ਸ਼ਰਟ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਜਸਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਿਜਿਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਇੰਜਰੀ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਧੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਇੱਕ ਵਧੀਆ ਫਿਜੀਓਥੈਰਪਿਸਟ ਇੰਜਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਪਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਾਫੀ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਮੰਨਨ ਪੌਲ ਦਾ ਖਾਸ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾਕਟਰ ਰਾਜੂ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵਰਲਡ ਫਿਜਿਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਡੇ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਰਚਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਡਾ. ਰਛਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਡੀਨ, ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ। ਟੀ-ਸ਼ਰਟ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀ.ਪੀ.ਟੀ, ਭਾਗ ਤੀਜਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਦੀਪਜੋਤ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ, ਬੀ.ਪੀ.ਟੀ. ਭਾਗ ਚੌਥਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਅਨਿਸ਼ਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਬੀ.ਪੀ.ਟੀ. ਭਾਗ ਦੂਜਾ ਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਗੁਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਈਵੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰੀਰਿਕ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਪੋਰਟ ਪਰਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਜਿਓਥਰੈਪੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਹਾਜਰ ਸਨ।
