The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS Units celebrates World Environment Day


NSS Units Lyallpur Khalsa College & Red Ribbon Club Organized One Day Tree Plantation Camp at the campus to celebrate World Environment Day. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh inaugurated the camp by planting a sapling. In his message, he appealed that everyone should plant at least one tree. Referring to the heat waves and rising temperatures, he advised that green environment is the best option to keep the temperature in balance. He told them that it is important to take care of the saplings initially then they take care of us by providing fresh air. He appreciated efforts of NSS volunteers and encouraged them to plant trees in their own surroundings too. NSS Chief Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh informed that total 35 plants of Neem, Drek, Arjun, Bahera etc. are planted in first phase. NSS unit has planned to plant 150 trees before monsoon. On this occasion, volunteers pledged to protect and water the planted saplings.
