The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. S. Karamjit Singh Rai bid farewell to the mortal world



 S. Karamjit Singh Rai, the renowned personality of the academic field, who was ill for some time, bid farewell to the mortal world. With his untimely passing away, there is a wave of grief in the entire Punjabi academic world. Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, College Governing Council President, Sardarni Balbir Kaur, Joint Secretary S. Jaspal Singh Waraich, the entire Governing Council and Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh expressing deep sorrow conveyed that the Punjabi world has suffered a great loss with his demise. President Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur said that S. Karamjit Singh Rai was a visionary person who also contributed significantly in the academic activities of the college and the construction of buildings. He started a scholarship in the name of Rai family for the needy and meritorious students in the college which is distributed to meritorious and needy students every year. All the staff and students of Lyallpur Khalsa College share sorrow with the Rai family in this hour of grief.  Finally, all the teachers and students praying in his memory to God also wished strength for the family of the departed to bear this irreparable loss.
