Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Lyallpur Khalsa College conducts a Musical workshop


 Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar is known for its proud achievements in academics, sports and cultural fields. The Department of Music of the college has been doing its service towards music for many years. A one-day musical workshop was conducted by the department under the same series. In this musical workshop, famous Tabla Nawaz Ustad Kale Ram ji of Punjab Gharana informed the music students about the nuances of Tabla. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh welcomed Ustad Kale Ram with a bouquet of flowers and said appreciated the initiative of the department of music that they have organized this workshop to explain the nuances of tabla playing to the students. He encouraged the students to thoroughly enjoy the workshop and clear their doubts about tabla playing related to rhythms etc. In this program, the head of the dept. of the music, Prof. Sukhdev Singh and the students sang hymns first. Later, Mr. Subhash Kali, Mr. Subhash Bashi and Prof. Kale Ram Ji's students and Prof. Gunveer Singh performed Tabla Jugalbandi which was enthralling experience. Speaking after the end of the event, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh lauded the performance of Ustad Kale Ram and his students and said that such an eloquent presentation of tabla was done by the hard work of the teachers. At the end, Prof. Sukhdev Singh, head of the department of music, thanked everyone. On this occasion, teachers of the department Prof. Kiran Amar, Prof. Nidhi Sharma and Mr. Akash Sharma were also present.
