The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. DST sponsored Hands on Training Workshop on Essential Oil Analysis in Lyallpur Khalsa College


 

Hands on training workshop on essential oil extraction and analysis was conducted in Lyallpur Khalsa College. Jalandhar. Dr. Inderjeet Kaur Co-PI DST Research Project on behalf of College and Dr. Arun Dev Sharma, PI DST Research project welcomed Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh and participants. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh congratulated the department for this training programme, while encouraging the students, he explained how science and technology is playing a wonderful role in our personal life and how hands on training could prove beneficial. Dr. Arun Dev Sharma, PI DST project informed about the importance of Phyto chemical. Furthermore Dr. Arun Dev Sharma mentioned that consumption of herbal products like Tulsi, Safeda Oil, Lemon grass oil can prevent various diseases. All the participants were exposed to DST FIST Lab by Dr. Gurpreet Singh. In addition, Hands on session was conducted by Dr. Arun Dev Sharma, Dr. Inderjeet Kaur and Ms. Amrita for extraction of oil and its analysis. Dr. Sarabjeet Kaur, Prof. Harleen Kaur, Prof. Kriti, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Dr. Gobind Ram were also presence on this occasion.
