Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. A Hands on Workshop on APP Alchemy Android Development was organized by Lyallpur Khalsa college Jalandhar


Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, in collaboration with the Google Developers Group Jalandhar, hosted a practical session on Android App Developers "App Alchemy Android". The Google Developers Group team served as the featured speakers for the day. The one day workshop aimed to explore the intricacies of "App Alchemy Android" in-depth.Google sponsored this event, providing refreshment to the students in attendance. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh praised the PG Department of Computer Science & IT for their proactive efforts and urged students to gain a firm understanding of industry fundamentals by actively engaging in informative workshops. In the GDG Workshop, speakers included Mr. Simarpreet Singh, Jalandhar organizer for Google Developers Group, Ms. Amanpreet Kaur, a Senior Mobile Developer at O7 Solutions, Mr. Sagar, an Android Developer at MDITS Innovation in Bangalore, and Ms. Loveleen Kaur, a Senior Software Engineer at Astro Talk. They trained the students about Android Apps and how to develop and deploy them on the phone. Students learnt through hands on training on Android App Development Platform. At the end of the event, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, Head of the department expressed his thanks to the guests and appreciated the teachers for their efforts and dedication. Dr. Daljit Kaur was the coordinator of the workshop. Prof. Sonu Gupta, Prof. Ravinder Kaur, and Ms. Sunaina assisted in the successful conduct of the event along with student volunteers. During this event, Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Prof. Navneet Kaur, and other faculty members from the department were present. The workshop drew active participation from 75 attendees including students of the host college and other colleges in the region, marking a resounding success for Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar.
