Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College Students Explore Industry Insights during Visit to O7 Services


 

Final year computer students of Lyallpur Khalsa College visited O7 Services a Jalandhar based software company. This information was given by the college principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur who said that during this visit, fifty students of the college, accompanied by the departmental faculty Dr. Sandeep Singh and Dr. Daljit Kaur got an opportunity to interact with the software industry. During their stay at O7 Services, the students were provided with an overview of the company's operations, its contributions to the software industry, and the innovative solutions it offered to clients. The interaction with industry professionals enabled the students to grasp the intricate workings of the software company and understand its challenges and opportunities. As a highlight of the visit, a quiz was conducted at the end of the session. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand, HOD Computer Science & IT said that the department was committed to organise such industrial visits to equip its students with necessary industrial exposure to compete in IT sector.
