Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar celebrates 6th Rashtriya Poshan Maah

 

The Grievances Redressal Cell of the college along with Department of Zoology & Botany embarked on this mission from 1 Sept. 2023, by earmarking diverse events to be held throughout the month. A month long exhibition has been laid out in Science Block, which was inaugurated by Prof Jasreen Kaur, Principal of the college. Prof Jaswinder Kaur and Dr Gagandeep Kaur welcomed the Principal. In her inaugural address Prof Jasreen Kaur emphasized that this year's theme is to comprehensively tackle malnutrition through a life-cycle approach. She highlighted that the focal point of POSHAN Maah-2023 is to cultivate nutritional understanding across various sections of the society, especially the adolescents and young students, through a theme centered on "Suposhit Bharat, Sakshar Bharat, Sashakt Bharat" (Nutrition-rich India, Educated India, Empowered India). Activities involving students, NGO's and subject experts are planned in the coming weeks. The event was attended by Dr Upma Arora, Dr Heminder Singh, Prof Surbjit Singh, Prof Amita Shahid, Prof Ravneet Bains, Dr Raminder Bhatia, Dr Patwant Atwal, Prof Ubique Bedi and students.
