The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Interactive Session on Art of News Presentation was organized by Lyallpur Khalsa College

 




An Interactive Session on ‘Art of News Presentation’ for the students of Journalism and Mass Communication was organized by the PG Department of Computer Science and IT of the Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar to meet the requirements of students.  Mr. Raman Kumar, former and renowned News Presenter at Doordarshan, Jalandhar was resource person of the session. The objective of the interaction was to provide the knowledge of the basic principles of News Reading. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur congratulated the Department for such positive initiative and motivated the students to prepare as per the requirements of the industry by attending such kind of informative programs. Principal and Head of Department honored the Guest with Memento and Bouquet. During the session, Mr. Raman Kumar taught the art and techniques used while presenting the News onscreen. He motivated the students to do hard work in their respective fields to achieve the desired goals. Later on an Interactive Session was also conducted in the Media Skill Center, where he shared his knowledge and experience and the students also showcased their news presenting skills.  Towards the end of the Programme, Head of the Department, Prof Sanjeev Kumar Anand, presented vote of thanks to Guest of the day. On this occasion, Prof. Sandeep Bassi, Prof. Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Dr. Daljit Kaur, Prof. Navneet Kaur and the other faculty members of the department were also present. About 100 students of the department attended the session.
