Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Awareness drive for Ban of Single Use Plastic at PPR Mall, Jalandhar.


The Social Sensitization Cell of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar and AGAPP (Action Group against Plastic Pollution) NGO, with the cooperation of Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar held an awareness drive for Ban of Single Use Plastic at PPR Mall, Jalandhar. Food outlets and other businesses were made aware of the ‘Single Use Plastic Ban’ which is in effect since 2016 and were urged not to use Single Use Plastic Bags, Disposable Plastic Cutlery and Cups. Customers were also sensitized about this issue and were urged not to accept any Plastic Cutlery and Cups from the shops. Principal of the college, Dr. Jaspal Singh inspired and motivated all for not using Plastic and not accepting anything in Plastic container from anywhere. Principal also added that use of plastic can lead to huge damage to our mother Earth and its continuous use can also result in spread of various diseases. The Plastic debris injures and kills wildlife, releases toxic and harmful chemicals that can harm both humans and animals.
