Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. A One-Day Workshop on ‘Exploring MATLAB Applications’ was organized by Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar.



The PG department of Computer Science and IT at Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar hosted an engaging one-day workshop with the aim of fulfilling the educational needs of the students of MSc(IT), MVoc (Web Technology & Multimedia) as well as those 5th Semesters of undergraduate classes. The workshop featured Tech Optimum, a company based in Chandigarh, which imparted valuable knowledge to the students. Mr Arvind Singh from this company was the resource person during the workshop. The primary goal of this remarkable workshop was to provide students the fundamental insights into the diverse applications of MATLAB. Dr Navdeep Kaur, Registrar of the college honored the resource persons and extended her congratulations to the department for this commendable initiative. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur said in her message that such workshops are very helpful in increasing the technical knowledge of the students. During this one day workshop Mr Arvind provided practical tips and tricks about the application. After this, an interactive session was held with the students. In this session, he cleared all the queries of the students. E-Certificates were also provided to the participants. In closing, Prof Sanjeev Kumar Anand, the Head of the Department, expressed gratitude to the Tech Optimum team as he delivered the vote of thanks. Dr Daljit Kaur conducted the whole program very smoothly. During this special occasion, Prof Sandeep Bassi, Prof Mandeep Singh Bhatia, Dr Sandeep Singh, Prof Navneet Kaur along with other esteemed faculty members from the department, graced the event with their presence. The workshop drew participation from over 120 students belonging to the department of Computer Science and Information Technology.
