The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS Units & Red Ribbon Club LKC organized a Blood Donation Camp

 

NSS Units and Red Ribbon Club LKC organized a Blood Donation Camp in the college campus in collaboration with Blood Bank, Civil Hospital, Jalandhar on the eve of Raksha Bandhan. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Mr. Surinder Saini, a renowned social worker and Dr. Navneet Kaur inaugurated the camp. Principal Madam motivated the students to take part in this noble cause. Moreover, she dedicated the camp to the festival of Raksha Bandhan and stated that by donating blood, we can serve humanity in real terms. Mr. Saini negated the false myths related to blood donation and urged students to donate blood and save precious lives. Chief Program Officer Satpal Singh informed that there was foot fall of 70 persons in the camp and total 50 units were collected. Students made posters and raised slogans to motivate students to donate blood. Prof. Harjinder Singh Sekhon, Prof. Sonu Gupta, Prof. Balraj Singh, Prof. Gurmukh Singh and Non-Teaching staff member Harjit Singh and Inderjit Gill also donated blood.
