The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Sports trials in Khalsa College


 

Trials for sportsperson admissions in Lyallpur Khalsa College for the session 2023-24 will be  conducted  during 13 - 15 June in the playgrounds of the college. This information was given by the college  Principal Prof.  Jasreen Kaur. Giving details the College Dean Sports Dr SS Bains said that the trials  for Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Badminton, Cricket, Swimming, Water Polo, Gymnastics and Archery would be held on June 13 whereas on 14 June, trials would  be conducted for Hockey, Kho-Kho, Wrestling, Weight Lifting, Pencak Silat, Wushu, Fencing, Judo, Taekwondo, Rowing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Dragon Boat. On 15 June, trials for events of Football, Karate, Cycling, Baseball, Kabaddi (NS), Tennis, Rugby, Volleyball, Shooting (Rifle & Pistol) and Handball trials would be held. He informed that interested players were to  report in the college playground in sports kit at 9:00 a.m. on respective dates with their original Academic and Sports achievement certificates, and added that special facilities (like Hostel facility, Mess facility, Fee Concession and Scholarship) would  be provided to selected players on the basis of their merit.
