Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. NSS Units Lyallpur Khalsa College Celebrates World Environment Day

 



NSS units of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar celebrated World Environment Day under Mission Life to spread awareness related to plantation, bird shelter and kitchen gardening. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur initiated the plantation drive in college campus and advised everyone to plant at least one plant at home. She added that plants need care for the initial phase of three months and we get benefitted for a long time. Principal encouraged the efforts of NSS volunteers who made bird huts to be hung on trees. NSS Program Officer Prof. Satpal Singh said that NSS volunteers Disha Vij, Karandeep and others have made these bird shelters manually from waste wooden boards. Later, the volunteers hung these birdhouses on trees in the campus and collected plastic waste. Volunteers also distributed seeds of flowers and plants to the staff members for their kitchen gardens. It was a meaningful message by NSS Unit LKC to make everyone aware of flora and fauna that surrounds us.
