Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar is constantly on the move for the holistic development of students. The students here excel in academic field as well as sports. A three-day sports trial was organised at the college to select the players for the new season 2023-24. Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur specially attended the inaugural function of these sports trials. On the occasion, she welcomed the sports students to join the college, wished them well and conveyed the message of giving trials with full sportsmanship spirit and dedication. She told the students that as true sportspersons if they dedicate themselves to sports and perform for the college, the college will provide them every possible facility. She also inspired the students by giving examples of students who made a name for themselves by playing and studying in the college. Dr. S.S. Bains said that on the first day of the sports trials in Athletics, Basketball, Boxing, Badminton, Cricket, Swimming, Water Polo, Gymnastics and Archery in which about 170 students participated. On 14 June 2023, trials shall be conducted for Hockey, Kho-Kho, Wrestling, Weight Lifting, Pencak Silat, Wushu, Fencing, Judo, Taekwondo, Rowing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Dragon Boat and on 15 June 203, the third and final day of the trials, Football, Karate, Cycling, Baseball, Kabaddi (NS), Tennis, Rugby, Volleyball, Shooting (Rifle & Pistol) and Handball trials shall be held. Prof. Ajay Kumar, Prof. Manvir Pal, Sh. Jagdish Singh, Sh. Amritpal Saini and other staff members were also present on this occasion.
