The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar is constantly striving for the all-round development of its students. Because of this, the students are not only serving the society here by contributing in various fields, but are also occupying high positions abroad. When they visit college, the college welcomes them with enthusiasm. The college is proud of its former student Tejinder Kaur Lali, who is currently working as Information Governance Manager and D.P.O. at Medway Council Medway in the UK and is serving as the head of the department. Upon arrival of Tejinder Kaur Lali at the college, Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur and Head of Department of Computer Science & IT Prof. Sanjiv Kumar Anand welcomed her and presented a memento. On this occasion, Prof. Jasreen Kaur congratulated the head of the department Prof. Anand and student Tejinder Kaur for this achievement. Principal Jasreen Kaur said that we are always proud of our students, when they visit the college with high achievements. She added that Tejinder Kaur had done M.Sc. (IT) from the college during the year 2003 to 2005. She further said that Tejinder, successfully dealing with the challenges at her post, is a role model for the aspiring students. On this occasion, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Anand said, our students are very talented and due to their talents, they achieve their goals like our daughter Tejinder has done." On this occasion, Tejinder specially thanked the College Governing Council, Principal and the department for providing her with a very good and progressive environment during her studies. Apart from Prof. Navneet Kaur, Tejinder Kaur's husband and daughter were also present on this occasion.
