The Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp will start at Lyallpur Khalsa College from 11th July 2024 (Registration will be held on 9th and 10th July at 5:00 PM at Open Air Theatre)

Lyallpur Khalsa College is known for carrying forward the heritage of Bhangra and taking it to international level. This Mecca of Bhangra is organizing Punjabi Folk Dance Bhangra Camp from 11th July to 20th July 2024. Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh, Vice Principal Prof. A meeting was held regarding the planning and implementation of the camp under the leadership of Jasreen Kaur and Registrar Prof. Navdeep Kaur, in which it was said that Bhangra not only entertains but also keeps the body fit. This dance form is also internationally recognized. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Jaspal Singh said that this camp is for all age groups and there is no registration fee. Dean Cultural Affairs Dr. Palwinder Singh Bolina said that this camp is organized every year in the college campus by the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar. Function organized on Superannuation of Sh. Kalu Ram at Lyallpur Khalsa College


Sh. Kali Ram, Sweeper, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar achieved a well deserved superannuation from the institution after an efficient and dedicated service spanning 39 years. A farewell party was organized by the college for this hardworking employee wherein Sh. Kalu Ram was duly honoured by Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur, Dean Sports Dr. S.S. Bains, Sh. Kanwar Sukhjit Singh Office Supdt., President Non-Teaching union Sh. Jagdish Singh, Sh. Surinder Kumar Chalotra P.A. to Principal for his loyal services to the college. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. Jasreen Kaur appreciated the working efficiency of the outgoing employee and wished for his fine health, long life and a bright future whilst also adding that the institution will always fondly remember the services given by Sh. Kalu Ram. On this occasion, Dean Sports Dr. S.S. Bains appreciated the departmental work of Mr. Kalu Ram and said that only because of such a hardworking staff, the sports grounds of our college are well prepared. In his speech, Sh. Kalu Ram thanked the staff for their support and co-operation during his tenure and cooperation rendered by his colleagues and the unwavering support provided by Principal of the college.
